It started with one mail truck and a bid nobody thought he’d win.

The early years, when the door just said DW.The yard on Route 32.
It was 1978 in New London, Connecticut. David Waddington Sr. was an employee, working as a straight job truck driver in charge of the US Mail run. Like many others at that time he was young and hungry, so when the route he was driving came up for bid along with another, he jumped at the chance to get ahead. Was he ready to take them on if he won? Absolutely not. He won both bids anyway.
From that one-man band came a company of more than eighty hard-working people and 24 road worthy tractor trailers, serving hundreds of loyal customers across six states most often, and thirteen in all.
Nearly five decades on, the work is still the same at heart: show up on time, get the paperwork right, and pick up the phone when something changes.
David Waddington Sr. wins two US Mail routes and starts out on his own.
Class A demolition, hauling and disposal added to the mail runs.
The move to North Franklin.
Over eighty employees, 24 road worthy tractor trailers, six states most often and thirteen in all.
